THE CHURCHES
The church of San Matteo is the oldest: the apse was built on 1000 year, the bell-tower and the other part of the church in the seventeenth century. The parish church of San Martino was built is the thirteenth century, but has been remodelled many times. The old church of Santa Maria of Monte Morone was built at the time of Lombards.
In Malnate (Repubblica square) there is beside a chapel. It is called: chapel of San Rocco and it has a fresco depicting the marriage of St. Caterina. It was built in the sixteenth century. In San Salvatore (an other hamlet of Malnate) there is an other parish church, dedicated to S. S. Trinità (fourteenth-century) and also in Rovera there is a little church: S. Carlo (in the crossing between A. Ferrari road and P. Nenni road). In Gurone there are two churches: the church of S. Lorenzo with its bell tower, its oratory and its square, and a little church of S. Anna in Piave road.
